Last Friday, when I reviewed the last volume of Revival, I said “My love affair with Revival has come to a close”. Little did I know that I was wrong- dead wrong. It was announced at the C2E2 Revival panel on Sunday that a live action film is in the works!!! Tim Seeley and Sarah Fisher are writing the screenplay, and Luke Boyce will be directing through Shatterglass Films. Production starts in 2018, with no release date yet.
I am so very excited at this development, and am eager to hear who they will cast for Dana and Em. As for the pivotal role of Dr. McKay, I happen to know the perfect person to play her. I shall patiently await a call from the director 😉
In the meantime, enjoy this teaser trailer that sets the tone for this outstanding supernatural thriller.

You beat me to it! As soon as I saw the title of this post I thought, “Well this is great! Nancy’s got her big screen debut coming!” Needless to say I’m 100% behind you playing your character in the film too. This ALSO means I need to get off my bum, get my act together, and read this series before the film comes out. I refuse to be the guy who hasn’t read the book when I see this movie ESPECIALLY because I know someone who’s literally IN THE COMIC. So, yeah, this is amazing all around :).

Michael, I am shocked (and disappointed) you have not read this yet! Considering how much I have talked about Revival, how could you not at least check the first volume out??? I truly am looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it after you read it. Kalie might like it too!

Well, I did begin the first volume.
And, Kalie and I have talked about reading it together and maybe doing a joint post for her site come summer when she has (at least a little) more free time (when not studying for her PhD stuff). But since I’ve just seen the beginning I have been liking your posts about it while skimming them because I was too far behind and didn’t want anything spoiled :). But I’m planning on catching up this summer!!

A joint post from the two of you about it would be FANTASTIC!

Thanks! Here’s hoping we’ll have it up some time mid-summer. We’ve been talking about doing more co-authored pieces and I think that one would be a lot of fun.
